Emily Carr University, July 2017: I will be teaching stop-motion animation for the month-long Summer Institute for Teens at the Emily Carr University. I had a blast doing this last year and am really looking forward to this gig.
Reel2Real International Film Festival, April 2017: I will be running animation workshops with the Reel2Real Film Festival from Sunday April 2nd through to Friday April 7th at the Roundhouse Community Arts Centre in Yaletown (Vancouver).
Squamish Academy of Music, March 2017: I am preparing to offer another round of art classes with the Squamish Academy of Music. The gallery in the front hall will be featuring work by Squamish artist Laurel Terlesky, in concert with Squamish poet Bren Simmers. The show is called “Narratives of the Lost”. In our art classes, we will be exploring lost objects and “finding” them again through our art!
Please check in at the Squamish Academy of Music’s Art Class page as information becomes available about my next round of courses.
Up With Art, January-February 2017: I taught a very fun five-week comics class to teens and tweens at Squamish’s new dedicated art supply store and workshop space! Hoping to teach more at this terrific location. If you are ever in Squamish and in need of creative materials, stop by and tell Hayley I sent you!
