In 2014, our family moved to Squamish. I missed having Vancouver’s opportunities to do life drawing, so I created one! Every second Saturday evening a group of artists and musicians meet at the Squamish Academy of Music(SAM) for their monthly SAM Jam & Sip n Sketch! Sponsored by the Up With Art local art supply store, we get together, get free materials, and draw while musicians play. I use it as life drawing practice, and oddly it’s the first time since art school that I’ve had a regular life drawing practice! Here are some of my favourite sketches.
